The Membership Committee is the heart of the Chamber!  Those engaged lead strategy and implementation around member retention and attraction, evaluate and direct programs and benefits, review member feedback, assist members in maximizing membership benefits/advantages and ensure materials reflect the value of the Chamber.  The Committee also oversees Chamber Ambassadors who are visible and proactive members that offer assistance and welcome new/prospective members in a variety of ways.

*The ability to reach out at the convenience of your schedule and conference call meetings make this committee perfect for those that travel or don't have a lot of "time" to devote. 

The Ambassador Committee is like the "Welcome Wagon" of the Chamber.  They actively reach out to new and current members to get to know them, invite them to events, attend ribbon cuttings/grand openings, and seek to engage members.

The Golf Committee plans and executes the Chamber’s largest networking event and fundraiser of the year.  The Annual Chamber Golf Outing planning entails but not be limited to securing sponsorships for the event, selecting the date for the event, planning the golfers experience for the day, researching/selecting/procuring any prizes or giveaways that may be awarded, marketing/communications, and securing volunteers for all aspects of the outing. The Golf Committee works closely with Chamber staff to maximize profits and make the day a memorable experience.

*The Committee meets 3-4 times per year.

The mission of the group is “to create an environment that helps nurture, develop, and educate the business women of Twinsburg.” The Committee leads the strategy and assists in execution of the mission via initiatives and events throughout the year. Active attendance in such programs and events is encouraged.    Working closely with the Chamber staff, sample activities include identifying venues/topics/speakers, organizing networking, and encouraging attendance of Chamber membership at luncheons, networking events and programs.

*The Committee meets several times from February through May.

This Committee oversees the awarding of an annual scholarship to a graduating twelfth grader from Twinsburg High School or Cuyahoga Valley Career Center.  The Scholarship is presented at a membership  event in the spring of every year.  Committee members are active in the creation of the timeline, application development, criteria and metrics, review and scholarship presentation.  The Committee is also responsible for providing recommendations to the Board of Directors on financing and the endowment related to the management of the scholarship.

The Budget and Finance Committee shall but not be limited to: working with the Chamber Executive Director in the development of the fiscal budget; receive proposals from standing committee chairs as to their budget requirements; to make recommendations for salary and fringe benefits for the Chamber Executive Staff; recommend any changes in the dues structure; monitor and report the appropriateness of receipts and disbursements in relationship to the fiscal budget prior to presentation to the Board; provide monthly written financial reports of the Chamber’s funds and financial operations to the Board of Directors; recommend policies regarding investments and to invest and reinvest the funds of the Chamber subject to such limitations and restrictions as may be fixed from time to time by the Board; and to review and implement various policies effecting the financial operations of the Chamber.
